As some of you might be aware, this summer The City of Calgary will begin its city-wide roll out of Green Cart Food & Yard Waste collection. Like the Blue Cart rollout, The City will be phasing in the program by quadrant. Green carts will be delivered to all single-family homes starting with the southwest in June. Cart delivery will continue in the northwest in July, the northeast in August and the southeast in September. On June 22nd, 2016 I hosted an information session at the Woodcreek Community Hall in response to the closing of the unofficial off-leash dog park located just off of HWY 22X. With the construction of the South West Calgary Ring Road (SWCRR) to begin late 2016, the area was closed by The Province as of January 1st, 2016. This closure left a huge void for our dogs, in not just Ward 13, but also in the surrounding areas. Anderson Road Widening / Tree Removal

Recently I have heard from many of my Ward 13 constituents requesting an update on The City widening of Anderson Road SW, as The City is looking to increase the thoroughfare to six lanes between the Southwest Ring Road (SWRR) and Elbow Drive. This improvement looks to provide a better road network by offering an attractive alternative for people travelling east-west through the area between the SWRR and city destinations.
