The Risks of Ride Sharing Services

Ride sharing companies have significant issues with regulatory compliance. As such, earlier this year I had asked Council to lobby for a provincial ride-hailing strategy which would help standardize the practice of app-based systems such as Uber. Yesterday, I am delighted to discover that Alberta’s Superintendent of Insurance has issued an advisory notice on ride sharing services, and the insurance risk they pose to Albertans.
